Coaching
 Provide training direction, encouragement, and motivation in order to prepare athletes for competitive events, training camps and team travel
 Plan and direct physical conditioning programs that will enable athletes to achieve maximum performance appropriate for age and abilities
 Develop and arrange competition schedules, programs, and team activities
 Arrange and conduct sports-related activities, such as training camps, skill-improvement courses, clinics, and pre and in season try-outs

Administration
 Supervise and direct continuing education of assistant coaching staff

 Maintain accurate records of individual athletes progress
